Fixed plans hold your energy charge for the full term. Variable plans float with the Alberta market if you'd rather ride it. I'll tell you which one actually makes sense for your usage.

One name, one number. Not a queue.

Switching retailers in Alberta is simple, but most people never do it because nobody explains the bill. I'll read your current bill with you, show you exactly which line changes, and handle the paperwork.

Nothing physical changes Your distributor (ENMAX, ATCO, FortisAlberta, etc.) still owns the wires and pipes and still fixes outages. Only the energy charge on your bill changes.

Questions

The things everyone asks first.

Will my power or gas get cut off during the switch? No. The switch happens on paper at your next meter read. Your distributor keeps delivering exactly as before.
Who do I call if there's an outage? Still your local wires or gas distributor (ENMAX, ATCO, FortisAlberta, EPCOR, Apex, or your REA or gas co-op). Retailers like Flux handle billing and rates, not the physical network.
Does the fixed rate cover my whole bill? It covers the energy charge, the per-kWh or per-GJ line. Flux adds an admin fee of $0.31 per day per meter. Distribution, transmission and local access fees are set by your distributor and the regulator, and apply with every retailer.
What if I'm already in a contract with another retailer? Send me your contract end date and I'll set your Flux start date to line up with it, so you don't pay an early exit fee.
Can I cancel a Flux plan? [CONFIRM FLUX CANCELLATION TERMS: notice period and any exit fee per plan type.]
How do I know these rates are real? Every Alberta retailer's rates are published on the Government of Alberta's Utilities Consumer Advocate site. Look up Flux Energy there and run the Cost Comparison Tool yourself.
